Giving Voice to Ideas
For an "explorer," discovery is only half the journey. The other half is telling the story. I realized early on that even the brightest ideas remain in the shadows if you lack the courage and skill to convey them.
As a shy guy, I found Toastmasters International to be the perfect training ground to break out of my shell. Here, I’m not just learning "public speaking"; I am training myself to connect with people, structure my vision, and communicate with confidence.
What I've Improved (and continue to)
| Skill | Practical Impact |
|---|---|
| Architecture of thought | Organizing complex ideas into clear speeches accessible to everyone (especially useful for me!). |
| Storytelling & Delivery | Using vocal variety and body language to turn a speech into an emotional experience. |
| Improv (Table Topics) | Developing mental sharpness to respond with confidence and clarity, even under pressure. |
| Feedback | Learning to give constructive evaluations that motivate others to grow without taking it personally. |
| Vice President PR (Leadership) | Applying my content creation skills in a strategic context. I learned to manage institutional communication and master LinkedIn for club growth. |
The Clubs I Belong To
Shared Explorations (My Speeches)
Every speech is an opportunity to gift the audience a message (as my mentor says), whether it's from the world of botany, sports, or personal growth.
- "Who am I?": My first speech (the Icebreaker).
- "Pepino": The discovery and cultivation in Italy of a forgotten Inca plant.
- "Slow and Steady Wins the Race": A counter-intuitive paradox: how the best athletes actually train.
- "Sun is Not Just Light": A journey through entropy to explain that the sun gives us order, not just energy (it was June and I had my physics oral exam, so I said: why not?).
- "90% Failure = 10% Success": Is creating a startup really that risky? A journey through statistics and life philosophy.
- "Relationship or Correlation?": A dive into my communication style and how it influences my relationships with others.
