How it started
It all started on a small balcony when I was just 10 years old. Over the years, that childhood curiosity turned into a full-blown "urban jungle". Last year, I decided to share this journey. My YouTube channel isn't just an archive of techniques, but a logbook dedicated to:
- Impossible challenges (almost): I show how to grow exotic fruits and rare species even in temperate climates, guiding the viewer step-by-step through the process.
- Nature stories: I go beyond technique, recounting the origins, myths, and incredible adaptive capabilities of often unknown plants.
- The art of care: I share field-tested experience on pruning, substrates, and biological management to help anyone develop a green thumb.
What I learn by creating
| Skill | My Approach |
|---|---|
| Video editing & Storytelling | A completely open-source workflow that allows me to edit videos (fairly) quickly thanks to Shotcut and a few accessory programs. I keep studying and discovering how to "tell a story" so that the video is useful and engaging. |
| Visual Design | I curate the channel's aesthetic using GIMP to create thumbnails that catch the eye (average CTR* of my last 10 videos ≈ 8%). During the process I learned a lot about photography and photo editing |
| Communication | I improve the ability to speak naturally on camera, turning technical information into engaging conversations. I still need to improve (you never get perfect at it) but every time I feel better than the previous one |
| Content Strategy | It just means I plan my videos, but it sounds cool apparently 🍄 |
*CTR = click trough rate (for 100 impressions how many people click).
The Numbers
Next steps
- Continue experimenting, learning, and growing. I know my videos aren't perfect, but I try to learn something to make them better every single time ☺️
